Below is a comprehensive list of summer events throughout the Valley including fairs, festivals, live music and fun for the whole family.

JUNE:

  • June 13:Music in Mauthe Park:6:00 p.m. Candance Campana
  • June 13:Music in Boardman Park - Guys Without Ties:Guys Without Tieswill perform from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Maag Theatre. The show is free and open to the public. Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
  • June 14:Michael Mage Experience:Michael Mage will pay a visit to the Canfield Gazebo to put on a magic show from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs. In the event of rain, this event will be held in the Rotary Building at Fair Park instead.
  • June 14:A Taste of Youngstown:This event, sponsored by the Youngstown Marathon will take place at Penguin City Brewing beginning at 6:00 p.m. The event will feature a 4k run and walk, as well as some of the Valley's most famousfoods including Love's Soup, DiRusso's Italian Sausage, Lena's Pierogies, Antone's, White House Fruit Farms, Papa Gelatiera, Pizza Joe's, Jimmy's Italian Speciaties, Gia Russa's, Wing Stop and Youngstown's Cookie Table. If you don't want to participate in the walk or run, you have the option to register just for the food. Registration is $25 for kids 12 and under, $35 for food only and $40 for food and the walk/run.   • June 14-15: Simply Slavic Festival: This two-day event will take place in Downtown Youngstown kicking off at 5:00 p.m. June 14 until 11:00 p.m. and again from 11:45 a.m. until midnight June 15. Admission is $5, but kids 12 and under can get in for free. The event will celebrate the Slavic communities of the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys and will feature Slavic music, food, dancers and much more.
  • June 15:Full Spectrum Pride in the Valley:This event will take place in Courthouse Square in Downtown Warren all day between noon and 10:00 p.m. This family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, vendors, food trucks, a beer garden, a family area, various booths, inflatable attractions, games and of course the pride parade.
  • June 15: E5C4P3 at River Rock at the Amp:The second show of River Rock at the Amp will feature Journey tribute band E5C4P3 playing all of the band's greatest hits. E5C4P3 takes the stage at 8:30, but folks can catch Styx tribute band Best of Times opening up for the band at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $13 and can be purchased here.
  • June 15:The Locals at Bulldog's Bar & Grill -Part of Bulldog's Bar & Grill in Poland's summer concert series. Concerts last from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • June 15:Youngstown's House Band at Magic Tree Pub & Eatery: Part of Magic Tree Pub & Eatery in Boardman's summer music series. There is a $5 cover charge for all shows and each show lasts from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • June 17: Canfield Summer Concert Series - Rex Taneri Band:The Rex Taneri Bandwill play on the Canfield Green from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Guests must bring their own lawn chairs.
  • June 18: Concerts in Austintown Twp. Park. 7-8:30 pm.Train Wreck
  • June 19:Juneteenth Skate & Cabaret:Folks can celebrate Juneteenth at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre at this free event from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Amphitheatre will be converted into an outdoor skating rink and will offer skating for all ages. Youth skating will take place between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and adult skating will take place between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. There will also be free hair cuts and hair braiding, line dancing, musical performances and more.   • June 19:Beaver Township Music in the Park - The Uptown Band 60s thru 80s:7:00 pm. to 8:30 p.m.
  • June 20:Music in Mauthe Park:6:00 p.m. Vintage Vinyl
  • June 20: Penguin City Night Market. 5 pm to 9 pm. 460 E. Federal. Vendors, crafts, food trucks, drinks.
  • June 20:Music in Boardman Park - Dueling Pianos:Dueling Pianoswill perform from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Maag Theatre. The show is free and open to the public. Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
  • June 20-23: Ribs-N-Rock Fest: This event will take place in the DeBartolo Commons at the Southern Park Mall between Thursday, June 20 and Sunday, June 23. Doors open daily at noon and is free until 3:00 p.m. After that, admission will be $7 per person every day except Saturday, where admission will be $10 per person after 3:00 p.m. The event will consist of multiple vendors competing to see who has the best ribs as well as live rock bands. Headliners will consist of The Clarks on Thursday, Saliva on Friday, Vince Neil of Motley Crue on Saturday and Chris Higbee on Sunday.
  • June 20-22:Cortland Street Fair:This event kicks off June 20 and will feature plenty of fun events from the Little Miss Cortland pageants to various live bands to the 5K and 10K runs and of course the parade. This year's parade theme will be the Wild Wild West. Signups for the runs can be found here and signups for the parade can be found here.
  • June 21-23: Ohio Viking Festival:This event will take place at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds in Cortland from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on June 21 and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. June 22 and 23. This year's event is focused on crafts. Guests can see how things were made and used in the year 1000 from skinning and tanning to bones and embroidery. Additionally, guests can learn about Norse gods, visit various vendors, enjoy live entertainment and even partake in the Kids Vs. Vikings Water Balloon Battle.
  • June 21: Pride a Go Go: The beginning of Pride Youngstown 2024, which will feature music by Pink Cigarettes, Lovers in Reverse and Volk. There will also be drag performances hosted by Ophelia Bottom and featuring Lil Bottom, Tucker Dickens, Malacvnt LaFoole and Luci Dreams and more. Additionally, there will be a comedy show hosted by Chloe Jackson, featuring Georgia Warder, Hanna Jo and Jackie Knutti.
  • June 21:Broken Reins at Magic Tree Pub & Eatery:Part of Magic Tree Pub & Eatery in Boardman's summer music series. There is a $5 cover charge for all shows and each show lasts from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • June 22: Pride Youngstown Parade: A free, family-friendly event that will feature two stages of live entertainment, vendors and food trucks. It will include a family area, various booths and the pride parade. The event begins at Noon and goes to 9 p.m. An adults only afterparty will be held at the Penguin City Brewing following the event, it costs $10 for tickets in advance and $15 at the door and will feature various drag performances and a burlesque show.
  • June 22: Chalk on the Walk. Free event. Courthouse Square, Warren. Come andlet kids show youtheir inner artist. Free chalk, with music, arts and crafts vendors, free donuts to first 100 kids.
  • June 22:7 Bridges at River Rock at the Amp:The third show of River Rock at the Amp will feature Eagles tribute band 7 Bridges playing all your favorite hits from the band. They take the stage at 8:30 p.m., but you can catch Santana tribute band Evil Ways opening up for the band at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here.
  • June 22:Mane Atraxion at Bulldog's Bar & Grill:Part of Bulldog's Bar & Grill in Poland's summer concert series. Concerts last from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • June 22 & 23: Juneteenth Cultural Festival; Wean Park in Youngstown. Vendors, food trucks, and music. Fireworks Sunday night. Free parking at the Covelli Centre.
  • June 23:Youngstown Soul Food Cookoff:Soul food lovers can head on down to Wean Park at 1:30 p.m. for a taste of their soul food favorites from ribs to mac & cheese and much more. Competitors will compete for the best of each food with the winner being named "Best in the City." This is a ticketed event with tickets costing $20 plus applicable fees.   • June 24: Youngstown Summer Movie Series: This event kicks off Wean Park's 2024 Summer Movie Series where families can enjoy a movie under the stars every Monday night from June 24 through August 5. The first movie shown will be Trolls: Band Together. A list of movies shown on all other dates can be found here.
  • June 24:Canfield Summer Concert Series - Untamed Band: TheUntamed Band will play on the Canfield Green from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Guests must bring their own lawn chairs.

  • June 26:Beaver Township Music in the Park - The Cue:7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • June 27:Christopher Cross at The Robins Theater:Soft rock singer Christopher Cross will be making a stop in Warren at the Robins Theater June 27 at 8:00 p.m. Ticket prices range from $40 to $160 plus applicable fees and can be purchased here.
  • June 27:Music in Boardman Park - Wrangler Band:The Wrangler Bandwill perform from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Maag Theatre. The show is free and open to the public. Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
  • June 27:Jeep Nite at Quaker Steak & Lube:6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Quaker Steak & Lube in Sharon. This month's event will be beach party themed and will feature music, food, games and giveaways.
  • June 28, 29, 30: Rally at Rt. 46. Music and motorcycles. General admission $8 for one day pass; $13 for two days; food vendors and drinks, motorcycle stunt show and more. Details can be found here.
  • June 28:Beaver Township Music in the Park - The United States Army Band:7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • June 28 & 29:Celebrate Poland:This annual event will take place at Poland Village Hall on Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29 and will feature a parade, vendors, live music, fireworks and more. Live music will be courtesy of No Funk No Justice. More information is coming soon.
  • June 29: Fire Shaker Works show. Fireworks at dark at Shaker Woods in Columbiana Co. Gates open at 1 p.m., with DJ and food trucks. Rain date is June 30.
  • June 29:Fleetwood Gold: The Fleetwood Mac Experience at River Rock at the Amp:The fourth show of River Rock at the Amp will feature Fleetwood Mac tribute band Fleetwood Gold playing the band's greatest hits. The band will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. with opening act My Drunk'n Uncle taking the stage at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here.
  • June 29:Fireworks at the Canfield Fairgrounds:You can celebrate the Fourth of July at the Canfield Fairgrounds. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and admission is $10 per car or $2 per walk in cash only. Fireworks will start at 10:00 p.m.
  • June 29:Boardman Park Independence Day Celebration:Boardman Park will be celebrating the Fourth of July with fireworks and a performance from the 122nd Ohio Army Band. The band willperform starting at 8:15 p.m. and fireworks will kick off at 9:45 p.m. Concessions will be available and guests are asked to bring their own blankets or lawn chairs.
  • June 29: Autism Awareness Training & Acceptance Program's 1st Annual Craft & Vendor Show and Summer Resource Festival:This event will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald and will consist of over 40 craft vendors, basket and Chinese raffles, food and sensory kit sales. There will also be sensory-friendly games and activities and an informational resource table for those with Autism and other disabilities.
  • June 29:Cin City & The Saints at Bulldog's Bar & Grill:Part of Bulldog's Bar & Grill in Poland's summer concert series. Concerts last from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • June 29:The Classics at Magic Tree Pub & Eatery:Part of Magic Tree Pub & Eatery in Boardman's summer music series. There is a $5 cover charge for all shows and each show lasts from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • June 30:Austintown Fourth of July Celebration and Fireworks:You can celebrate the Fourth of July at this all-day event in the Hollywood Gaming parking lot in Austintown between noon and 10:00 p.m. The event will feature plenty of live music and entertainment, mascot characters, celebrity guests, plenty of kid-friendly activities and of course fireworks. JULY:

  • July 1:Canfield Concert Series - The Dixieland Daisies:The Dixieland Daisies will play on the Canfield Green from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Guests must bring their own lawn chairs.
  • July 2: The Beach Boys at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre: Classic rock band, The Beach Boys will be making a stop in Downtown Youngstown on their Endless Summer Gold tour. Tickets are on sale now with prices ranging from $34.50 to $122 plus applicable fees. Tickets can be purchased here.
  • July 2: Concerts in Austintown Twp. Park. 7-8:30 pm.Canfield Community Band Concert
  • July 3:Beaver Township Music in the Park - Common Ground:7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

  • July 4: Ohio Car Show Promoters 4th of July Car, Truck and Bike Supershow. 1 pm to 4 pm 14 E. State Street, Niles. Food vendors, music, more.
  • July 4:Canfield 4th of July Parade:The City ofCanfield will be hosting its annual 4th of July Parade. The parade kicks off at 10:10 a.m. at the Fairgrounds. Following the parade, folks can gather at the Canfield Green for even more festivities.
  • July 5:Movie On the Lawn - Barbie: This event will take place at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre and is part of Downtown Youngstown's First Fridays events. The movie starts at 9:00 p.m. and is absolutely free to see.
  • July 5:The Cugines at Magic Tree Pub & Eatery:Part of Magic Tree Pub & Eatery in Boardman's summer music series. There is a $5 cover charge for all shows and each show lasts from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • July 5 & 6:Summer Fun Fest at Quaker Steak & Lube:This free two-day event will take place July 5 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and July 6 from noon to 10:00 p.m. at Quaker Steak & Lube in Sharon. The event will feature carnival games, rides, concession stands, live entertainment, a craft and artisan market and much more. Live entertainment will consist of strolling entertainment courtesy of the Lawrence County Flow Collective, as well as live music from Brave Astronauts on July 5 from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Groove Clinic on July 6 from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
  • July 6:Disco Express Band at Bulldog's Bar & Grill:Part of Bulldog's Bar & Grill in Poland's summer concert series. Concerts last from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

  • July 9-14:Trumbull County Fair:This longstanding tradition kicks off July 9 at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds in Cortland. The event will feature a variety of live entertainment at the grandstands, rides, food, vendors and much more. This year's live entertainment consists of Harness Racing from 12:30 p.m.and again at 5:30 p.m. July 9. Other live entertainment events are listed for their respective dates. Parking for the fair is free all week.

  • July 12-14: Slovenfest: 41st Annual event at SNPJ. SNPJ Recreation Center in Lawrence Co. Featuring 20 Slovenian Polka bands, food, crafts and more.Friday and Sunday pass $10; Saturday pass $15. Children 16 years old and younger are free. 3-day pass is $30.
  • July 12:Bud Rodgers Memorial Truck & Tractor Pulls at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds:This event will take place at the grandstands at 6:30 p.m.
  • July 12:Tommy James & The Shondells at the Robins Theater:Classic rock band Tommy James & The Shondells will be making a stop in Warren at the Robins Theater on July 12 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets range from $45 to $125 plus applicable fees and can be purchased here.

  • July 13:Fins To The Left at River Rock at the Amp:The fifth show of River Rock at the Amp will feature Jimmy Buffett tribute act Fins To The Left featuring members of the Coral Reefer Band.   • July 13:High Steel Rodeo Bulls & Barrels at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds:This event will take place at the grandstands at 6:00 p.m.
  • July 13:Youngstown Wine & Jazz Festival:This event will take place at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre at 7:00 p.m. and will feature wine and jazz music courtesy of Althea Rene and Jeff Kashiwa. Ticket prices range from $7 to $17 plus applicable fees and can be purchased here.
  • July 13:Warriors For Tommy:This event will take place Saturday, July 13 at the Yankee Lake Ballroom in Brookfield Township and will raise funds for families of those who have been impacted by impaired drivers. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. and bands include The Hern Brothers Band, Sid Lucid, Haymaker and The Scenic Route.

  • July 20:That Arena Rock Show at River Rock at the Amp:The sixth show of River Rock at the Amp will feature That Arena Rock Show playing 70s and 80s hard rock classics from bands like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Aerosmith and more. The band will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. and opening act Huckin Fillbillys will take the stage at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here.

  • July 25:Jeep Nite at Quaker Steak & Lube:6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Quaker Steak & Lube in Sharon. This month's event will be Christmas in July themed and will feature music, food, games and giveaways.
  • July 25-28:Basilica of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Italian Festival Youngstown:This event will take place at Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Youngstown. The festival will feature a raffle with nightly drawings of $1,000 and a grand prize drawing of $5,000 taking place on July 28. Winners do not need to be present. Additionally, this year's festival will feature rides, a bounce house, face painting, food and much more.
  • July 26:Outback Ray's Amazing Animal Show:This event will take place at the Canfield Gazebo from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will give kids of all ages the opportunity to see captive-born exotic animals up close and personal. Guests are asked to bring lawn chairs for seating.
  • July 27:Queen Nation #1 at River Rock at the Amp:The seventh show of River Rock at the Amp will feature Queen tribute band Queen Nation #1 playing all of the band's greatest hits. The band will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. with opening act No Funk No Justice taking the stage at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $13 and can be purchased here.

  • July 27-28: Summer Festival of the Arts in Wean Park: This event, hosted by The Cultural Alliance will take place in Wean Park in Downtown Youngstown. The festival will feature all types of art includingpainters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, mixed media artists and much more.
  • July 27-28:Hermitage Art Festival:This event will take place July 27 from noon to 9:00 p.m. and again July 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will act as an outdoor artist's marketplace featuring art vendors and showcases, musical and theatrical performances, live music, food trucks, children's activities and much more. There will also be a fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. Saturday.

  • July 28:Christmas in July at Boardman Park:Even Santa likes to take a summer vacation and on July 28, his destination will be Boardman Park for Christmas in July. Guests will get to have lunch with Santa in the Larricia Family Center from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. In addition, there will also be cookie decorating and other holiday-themed activities. Tickets are $15 and will benefit Akron Children's Hospital. Tickets can be purchased here.

  • August 2-4: Greater Youngstown Italian Festival: This year's festival will run on East Federal Street from Champion Street East to South Avenue due to construction on Federal Street around the square.

  • August 28-September 2: The 178th Canfield Fair: A Valley tradition for over a century, folks can spend their Labor Day weekend at the Canfield Fair and enjoy its traditional rides, food games and of course, entertainment. There will be two nights of live music at the Grandstand with country singer Brantley Gilbert taking the stage Sunday, September 1. Details on the entertainment for Monday, September 2 will be released at a later time.
