Capt. F.H. Arms Capt. Frederick H. Arms, 32, died Sunday afternoon at the USAF Medical Center at Keesler, where he had been a patient since Nov.

12, 1972. Before his hospitalization he was assigned to Seymour Johnson AFB, N.C. Captain Arms is survived by his widow, Mrs. Robin L. Arms, Goldsboro, N.C, and his mother, Mrs.

Cora L. Arms of 5951 Tchoupitoulas New Orleans. Service arrangements are pending. Mrs. Margaret Guice Mrs.

Margaret Kennedy Guice, 72, life-long resident of the Gulf Coast, died Sunday night after a lengthy illness. Born in Biloxi April 19, 1900, she attended school in Biloxi and Centenary College, and finished in Nashville College in Nashville, where she studied voice. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Marge Learned, Macon and Mrs. Mara Lou Galle, New Orleans, two sons, James W.

14 at his home in the Helena Community. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lola Mae Berry Chapman, Helena; two daughters, Mrs. Winnie Mizell, Bogalusa, La. and Mrs.

Burial will be in MachPelah Cemetery with the Rev. George Carmens officiating. Ralph Hoemann Ralph Hoemann, 49, a resident of 5013 Stellemac, Affton, was pronounced dead of an apparent heart attack on arrival at Gulfport Memorial Hospital at 4:25 p.m. Sunday. Mr.

Hoemann was born Aug. 8, 1923 in New Haven, Mo. He was a veteran of World War II and was employed as a printing superintendent with the Concordia Publishing Company. Among his survivors is his wife, Mrs. Shirley Hoemann.

His body will be sent from Riemann Funeral Home in Gulfport to the Hoffmeister Mortuary in St. Louis, for services and interment in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Grady L. Lambert Grady Lynn Lambert, 34, died on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 13, at Singing River Hospital, where he had been confined since suffering a heart attack on Dec.

Mr. Lambert, was born in Lawrence County on Sept. 30, 1939, and had lived in Jackson County for 21 years. He was a contractorpainter and at 4210 Martha Court, Pascagoula. Survivors include his wife, Mrs.

Patricia Bailey Lambert, Pascagoula; two daughters, Ammie Lynn Lambert, Pascagoula, and Cindy Laura, Lambert, Moss Point; three sons, Johnny and Mark Donald of Pascagoula and Marcus Lynn Lambert, Moss Point; Mrs. Bernice Lambert, Pascagoula, his mother; a brother, Jerry V. Lambert, Pascagoula; a sister, Mrs. Peggy Williamson, Monticello. He was a member of the National Guard, the Methodist Church and Elks Lodge.

W.J. Blackman officiating. Miss Julia Boone Miss Julia Diane Boone, .20, native and a resident of Moss Point, died Saturday, Jan. 13, at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula. Miss Boone, the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Mose Boone of Moss Point, resided at 1104 Elder Ferry Moss Point. She was a student at Jackson County Junior College and a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, Moss Point. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Vivian E.

Atchison rites The funeral service for John Seymour (Jack) Atchison, 68, was held Sunday afternoon at Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins. mr. Atchison died Thursday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson after an extensive illness. He was a native of Bond and had resided at Vicksburg. The Rev.

Mavar president of Mavar Shrimp and Oyster Company, Biloxi, died Sunday in New Orleans at Ochsner Foundation Hospital where he had been a patient since last Monday. He was 65. Funeral rites are scheduled for 10:45 a a.m. Tuesfrom BradfordO'Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi, followed by an 11 a.m. Requiem Mass at Church of Nativity.

14, 1907, in Biloxi, the son of John and Olivia Skrmetta Mavar, he founded the seafood cannery with his father in 1926. He had been engaged in the business all his life and was organizer and former president of the American Shrimp Canners Association. Prior to Hurricane Camille, he and his wife, nee Antonia Gentillich, lived in Biloxi on Miramar avenue. Since that time, they have resided in Ocean Springs. Mr.

Mavar was active in civic and religious affairs during his life. He was graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and in later years served as president of the Sacred Heart Alumni Association. A Fourth Degree Knight, he served as Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Biloxi Council 1244. For two years, he was Faithful Navigator of the d'Iberville General Assembly. He was a former president of the Nativity Parish Holy Name Society and had been active for years in the St.

Vincent de Paul Society. In 1957, he was general chairman of the Biloxi United Fund. He had served as director of the Biloxi Chamber. of Commerce and at one time served as a committeeman on the Boy Scouts Council. He belonged to the Oyster Institute of America and the Slavonian Benevolent Association.

In recent years he was active on the executive committee of the Biloxi Shrimp Festival. His late father was King of the Shrimp Festival in 1960. Other than his widow, Mr. Mavar is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Marko (Joan) Butirich of Biloxi and Miss Maria Mavar of Ocean Springs; three brothers, Sam Mavar, Nick Mavar and Victor Mavar, all of Biloxi; two sisters, Mrs.

J.V. Lawrence and Mrs. Pascal Talijancich, both of Biloxi; and five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the local heart or kidney funds or Masses. Search for weapon.

Harrison County Jailer Danny Holland, center, supervises jail trusties in a search for a .22 caliber automatic pistol believed to be the murder weapon in the death of Joseph B. Miller, 29, whose body was found a week ago. The sheriff's department arrested Roy Thomas Damron, 17, early Monday in connection with the death. The pistol was reportedly thrown in a trash can, whose contents were picked up by a county truck and deposited in this sanitary landfill dumping area on North Swan road. The search was continuing at noon Monday.

Biloxi girl to undergo rabies shots An 8-year-old Biloxi girl will have to begin a series of painful rabies shots Thursday unless the dog which bit her Sunday is located. Biloxi police Superintendent said the girl, Brenda Elliott, daughter of Mrs.

Betty Elliott, 153 Belvedere Circle, Biloxi, was bitten Sunday about 10 a.m. He said the girl's mother reported she and her daughter were standing on the corner of Rodenberg avenue and Pass road when she was bitten by the dog. The animal was described as a large brown and white dog, mixed breed. Montgomery urged anyone knowning the whereabouts or the owner of the animal to immediately call either Mrs. Elliott or the Biloxi Police department.

Car Gulfport company begins extended operation Kuda Apparel of Gulfport began an expanded manufacturing operation Monday in a 000-square-foot addition to its 30th avenue plant.

Manufacturers of women's blouses and men's shirts, the company has added about 20 employees in the expansion bringing its current total to about 70. The addition is in a. building two doors north of the original Kuda plant at 1502 30th where manufacturing began last June in a building. The addition is located in a building at 1514 30th Ave. Company President Joseph Datlof said when the firm opened in June it had expected to expand within six months.

The new operation Monday was in line with the original plan. He said that another expansion is expected later, perhaps six months from now. The first plant manufactures flat-weave blouses and shirts. The expansion plant will make knitted apparel. Datlof called it the Landscape seminar to be presented Dogwood Garden Club and the City of Biloxi will co-sponsor a landscape design seminar presented by members of the Mississippi State University faculty of the School of Landscape Architecture.

The seminar opens at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Biloxi Community Center and will be conducted in three sessions Jan. 16-17. The Tuesday afternoon session will consist of illustrated lectures and discussions on residential landscape. Tuesday at 8 p.m., a session designed to appeal to city officials, city planners, engineers, realtors and urban renewal workers will consist of illustrated lectures on residential, parks and urban design, and the Wednesday, 9 a.m.

session will be a lecture and discussion of home grounds. Fee for the seminar is $5 for the two daytime sessions. The Tuesday night session is free.
